David J. Carcamo is an Associate with Tucker Law Group specializing in civil litigation. His sharp analytical and writing skills have been instrumental in a variety of legal areas, including employment discrimination, general liability, higher education litigation, and civil and constitutional rights.
Transitioning from a Law Clerk to an Associate at the firm, Mr. Carcamo is now staffed on substantive cases, where he lends his research, writing, and analytic abilities. He routinely researches and drafts successful dispositive motions in both state and federal courts, significantly contributing to the firm’s litigation successes. He has secured numerous defense verdicts in Philadelphia’s compulsory arbitration program and second-chaired jury trials in both state and federal courts. Additionally, he has negotiated favorable settlements for clients, further demonstrating his versatility and effectiveness in various aspects of litigation. His experience also extends to conducting internal investigations in response to federal agency inquiries, resulting in dismissals after crafting effective position statements and conducting witness interviews.
Previously, Mr. Carcamo served as a summer judicial law clerk to the Honorable L. Felipe Restrepo of the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and as a Legislative Aide to former Philadelphia City Councilwoman Maria Quiñones-Sánchez. He also participated in the Temple Law Sheller Center for Social Justice’s partnership with the Washington Office of Latin America, aiding immigration attorneys representing asylum seekers.
Mr. Carcamo is a graduate of Penn State University and Temple Law School and is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, collecting vinyl, and classical literature. He is also a native Spanish speaker.
